Exhibitions

Please can we remind members that we have an on-going exhibition of members paintings available for purchase at the Hilary Cottage Surgery, Fairford. Pictures are changed approximately every three months. Ten percent of the sale price goes to the surgery and five percent to the society.

For a limited trial period, we will be operating a new procedure for handing in paintings, and collection after display. This will hopefully make the process easier for your committee members who organise this exhibition on your behalf.

Fairford Surgery Gallery

We will be changing the paintings exhibited in Fairford Surgery Gallery on Thursday 19th October 2023. Members may exhibit one painting for hanging and paintings must be prepared to exhibition standard (see below). Neither the Society, nor its members or Fairford Surgery will be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits whilst in their care, although all responsible precautions will be taken to safeguard them. 15% commission will be deducted from any paintings sold. 10% goes to the surgery and 5% to FAS, payment to the artist will be made as soon as possible after the sale.
Due to storage problems the handing in and picking up procedure will change to the following.

HAND IN OF PAINTINGS
Fairford Community Centre. Heritage Room 1pm – 1.30pm
TAKE DOWN AND HANGING OF PAINTINGS
Fairford Surgery 1.30pm – 2.30pm
COLLECTION OF PREVIOUSLY HUNG PAINTINGS

Realising that there will be a wait between hand in and pick up, tea or coffee will be available at the community centre.
